The Banner Baywood unit will be an extension of the emergency department and will be staffed by mid-level providers. ID: 6704 Location: ARIZONA MESA Full-Time, STAFF PHYSICIAN, Banner Baywood Medical Center We are seeking a full-time emergency physician to join our team at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona. Physicians work 8-, 9-, and 10-hour shifts with generous MLP coverage every day. The brand new, state-of-the-art emergency department (ED) opened on October 1, 2009, and has an approximate annual volume of 50,000. The new ED features advanced medical imaging technology, enhanced treatment areas, plus 58 private patient rooms, each with a bedside clinical computer and a flat-screen TV. The ED has two major treatment rooms that allow for more complicated procedures. In addition, there is a direct entrance into the ED to and from the helicopter pad for the critical or trauma patients who require airlift transport to a nearby hospital for more complex treatment. Some of the services offered at Banner Baywood include orthopedics, heart care, surgery, stroke unit, and wound care. Qualified candidates must be ABEM or AOBEM certified. We offer paid professional liability insurance with tail coverage, plus free CME and an excellent compensation package.
