Pediatric EM Physician - Anchorage Facility Alaska Emergency Medicine Associates (AEMA) is a well-established, physician-owned EM group in Anchorage, Alaska. AEMA currently provides service to the emergency department at Providence Alaska Medical Center (PAMC), and invites a physician Residency-trained in Emergency Medicine with a Peds EM Fellowship, or Residency-trained in Pediatrics with a Peds EM fellowship to join their group. Physician must be board certified in Emergency Medicine.
Ideal candidate should enjoy seeing Pediatric and Adult patient populations, be a self-starter with superior communication skills, and adept in developing interpersonal relationships with patients and professional staff. Previous PEDS EM experience is a must. The Physician hired will be brought on as an associate in a two-year partner track and as an independent contractor with a performance based fee for service, as well as an additional hourly compensation for administrative and program development time.
Providence Alaska Medical Center, the states largest hospital, is a full-service comprehensive care facility that seeks to develop a new Pediatric ED. The current ED sees 17% pediatric patients. This 224-bed hospital has a 32-bed ED seeing 70,000 patients annually, along with a 5-bed fast track with a volume of 14,000. Daily physician coverage is 60.5 hours. Specialized treatment rooms are also available in the ED for pediatrics, trauma, cardiac care and numerous other specialties.
