Providence Alaska Medical Center, the states largest hospital, is a full-service comprehensive care facility that seeks to develop a new Pediatric ED. The current ED sees 17% pediatric patients. This 224-bed hospital has a 32-bed ED seeing 70,000 patients annually, along with a 5-bed fast track with a volume of 14,000. Daily physician coverage is 60.5 hours.
