    About Centralia
    Centralia Downtown
  • Centralia is a semi-rural community of 15,000 located in Lewis County (pop. 74,000) in scenic southwest Washington. The area features a mix of farm and timberland threaded by a number of revered salmon and steelhead rivers. Property with acreage is still relatively affordable in Lewis County, and there is no state income tax in Washington.
  • Centralia offers great quality of life for those who appreciate the outdoors, as well as easy access to urban culture. You can shop for antiques, visit the factory outlets, or stroll through the historic downtown district, where you'll find boutiques, restaurants, a winery, a family-owned jewelry shop, and much more. Plus, you'll find a home-style atmosphere that is appealing to residents and visitors alike. There are all types of cultural venues, including the vibrancy of being home to Centralia College, which is a two-year community college. (See the Map)
  • ... You can enjoy the immediate access to all that Western Washington has to offer
including the near-by cities of Portland, OR, Seattle/Tacoma, the Cascade Mountains and the Pacific Ocean.

    Olympic National Park
  • Olympic National Park is located on the Olympic Peninsula. The park can be divided into four basic regions: the Pacific coastline, alpine areas, the west side temperate rainforest and the forests of the drier east side. The park features a network of hiking trails featuring sights of the rain forest, with plants, which exhibit dozens of hues of green. An unusual feature of ONP is the opportunity for backpacking along the beach.
  • Mount Rainier National Park is a National Park located in southeast Pierce County and northeast Lewis County. The park contains 368 square miles including all of Mount Rainier, 14,411-feet high, the highest point in the Cascade Range. Around it are valleys, waterfalls, sub-alpine wildflower meadows, old growth forest and more than 26 glaciers. About 1.3 million people visit Mount Rainier National Park each year. Mount Rainier is a popular peak for mountain climbing.

    Portland

  • Portland, Oregon, known as the "City of Roses", has been referred to as one of the most environmentally friendly cities in the world.
  • As the largest city between San Francisco and Seattle, Portland vies with those cities as the spiritual capital of the laid-back northern Pacific coast. However, it has retained the relaxed air of a smaller town while still growing rapidly.
  • The city has a lovely blend of historic and modern architecture and many lush parks - Forest Park and Washington Park in the hills west of Downtown offer a variety of plants, trails, and wildlife near the city.
  • Seattle

  • Christened "The Emerald City", Seattle, surrounded by lakes, rivers, Puget Sound, and mountains, is a recreation enthusiast's dream and one of the most livable cities in the world. With a metropolitan area population of about 3.4 million inhabitants, Seattle is the largest city in the Northwestern United States.
  • Seattle has been a regional center for the performing arts for many years. The century-old Seattle Symphony Orchestra is among the world's most recorded. The Seattle Opera and Pacific Northwest Ballet are comparably distinguished, with the Opera being particularly known for its performances of the works of Richard Wagner and the PNB School ranking as one of the top three ballet training institutions in the United States. Seattle has three major professional sports teams: The National Football League's Seattle Seahawks, Major League Baseball's Seattle Mariners, and Major League Soccer's Seattle Sounders FC. This is only a small sampling of what Seattle has to offer.
