The Hospital ... Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center is a 80-bed health care facility serving the community of Emporia and surrrounding area. The physicians and employees of SVRMC have provided generations of families with medical care.
		The medical staff of the hospital has 20 active and 85 courtesy staff physicians. The hospital offers the following services: Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Dentistry, Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, General Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology, Neurology, Nuclear Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Pathology, Podiatry, Psychiatry, Radiology, Urology and Vascular Surgery. SVRMC offers all of the diagnostic modalities and services usually offered at a community acute care hospital.
