CHRISTUS Hospital-St. Elizabeth, a 461-bed health care facility in Beaumont, is the largest hospital between Houston and Baton Rouge. The hospital is owned by one of the largest Catholic health systems in the country and is the recognized regional leader in outpatient services, cardiology, oncology, neurology, pediatrics, general surgery, birthing, neonatal care, cardiac rehabilitation, and diagnostic imaging. It is also the regional leader in emergency medical services in southeast Texas
In 2004, the CHRISTUS Outpatient Pavilion was completed. The 260,000 square-foot facility provides a wide array of services for the community. The 40-acre campus also includes the W. P. Hebert Health and Wellness Center, a 65,000-square-foot state-of-the-art fitness center, Minor Care Center, and many medical office buildings. |

Beaumont, with a population of 112,400 is the largest city in southeast Texas, and is the center of one of the largest refining and petrochemical centers in the nation. The focal point of entertainment in the city is the Beaumont Civic Center Complex, a 6,500-seat arena where concerts, conventions, trade shows, and exhibitions are held. Within the complex is the Julie Rogers Theater This magnificent facility is home to the Symphony of Southeast Texas, as well as presentations by the Beaumont Civic Opera, the Beaumont Civic Ballet and the Beaumont Ballet Theatre. Also included in the Complex is the Jefferson Theatre, a treasured entertainment palace, which now enjoys new prominence because of a recent $6.5 million restoration returning the celebrated theatre to its original elegance.

RiverFront Park -
This spacious park overlooks the Neches River and is the traditional site for the City’s annual Fourth of July Celebration. A miniature amphitheatre seats fifty and the park has accessible boat docks for pleasure craft and a scenic view of the Neches River. Also, closeby is Sheldon Lake State Park & Environmental Learning Center, a 2,800 acre outdoor education and recreation facility. |
