We are seeking an individual to provide leadership and vision to a growing facility
in the Blue Ridge Mountains - 2 hours from Asheville, Atlanta and Knoxville

Murphy Medical Center is a 57-bed hospital serving a seven county area of western NC, northern GA, and eastern TN

Home to a growing population of 15,500 annual ED patients

Seeking Emergency Physicians (BC EM preferred, but will consider BC Primary Care physicians with extensive ED experience)

Excellent compensation package with earning potential up to $325,000 with professional liability insurance procured on your behalf

Single physician coverage - 12 hour physician shifts and mid-level coverage provided 12 hours daily

Air ambulance services from Atlanta, Knoxville, Chattanooga and Asheville are available for critical/trauma cases

The ED is currently undergoing renovation/expansion and the medical facility continues to thrive


	Murphy Medical Center, a 57 bed hospital in Murphy, NC serves a seven county area of western North Carolina, northern Georgia, and eastern Tennessee. Murphy Medical Center has 61 physicians on its medical staff and includes a 57-bed hospital, a 120-bed long-term care facility, a 14 bed Alzheimer’s Unit, Good Shepherd Home Health and Hospice Agency. Southwestern Health System currently employs over 700 people, making it the largest employer in the Tri-state area.
Built in 1979 and renovated in 1996-2002, Murphy Medical Center now offers a new Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Rehabilitation Wing, Same Day Care Unit and Labor and Delivery Department. The Emergency Department is staffed by physicians 24 hours a day.
