Responding to the needs of the many communities it serves, in the past two decades Bassett Healthcare has created a system of 25 outreach facilities, in a 8-county service region. As a result, patients are provided convenient and top-quality local health care services, with immediate and ready access to the resources (e.g. specialty and hospital care) of Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown.
Devoted physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, technicians, and support personnel staff Bassett's regional health care system. Bassett Cooperstown-based specialists make regular visits to several of the health center sites in order to improve access and complement the extensive services provided at the health centers.
Bassett Healthcare maintains 25 health clinics in upstate New York, providing primary and specialty care services to rural communities in Chenango, Delaware, Fulton, Herkimer, Madison, Montgomery, Otsego, and Schoharie Counties.

Cooperstown is truly a fascinating place. Located at the south end of Otsego Lake in Central New York State, it is in the beautiful Leatherstocking Region of central New York, bounded by the Catskill and Adirondack Mountains, at the heart of a splendid four-season recreational area (See the Map). Cooperstown's is known worldwide as the home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, and this year marks its' rededication after completion of a $20 million renovation.
But we are the home of Glimmerglass Opera, a nationally renowned company with an astonishing history that began in the seventies in our High School Auditorium.
The Fenimore Art Museum has several new exhibits and the lovely gardens and views from the Fenimore Terrace are worth a trip themselves.
There are two other world class museums located near Cooperstown that are open year round, the National Soccer Hall of Fame, an interactive museum that features the popular Kick Zone for kids and the Northeast Classic Car Museum, with an outstanding collection of over 100 beautifully restored vehicles. |
