The uptown and downtown areas are historic districts. A wide variety of architecture such as Art Deco, Victorian, Greek Revival, Italianate, Neo-Classical and Romanesque are located in the city. The downtown area (at one time was the village of Rondout) has a prominent artist community and notable art galleries. |

The Historic Hudson Valley embraces a topography that varies from meadows to gently sloping mountains. The property selection incorporates historic Dutch stone homes, brick homes from the Colonial and Federal periods and Victorians. There are also farmhouses and farms, the more modern ranch houses, contemporaries and colonials, or just acreage. Some antique properties are as old as 300 years and many are large, dramatic estates, secluded and private. (See the Map). |
