We are currently looking for Emergency Medicine Physician’s for hospital emergency departments in New Zealand. One of the hospitals is located in Invercargill.
Southland Hospital has 181 beds and is the regional referral teaching and trauma centre for a population of 107,000 and a rural catchment area. With approximately 30,000 presentations per annum, the open plan design supports 21 beds and a raised central work station, providing visibility to most clinical areas. It includes a de-contamination area, seclusion room and negative pressure room. It also has a five bay ambulance port and is located 50 metres from a helicopter pad. As part of the unique design of the hospital, ED is co-located with the Fracture Clinic and Medical Imaging and in close proximity to Critical Care, Operating Theatres and Security.
We are currently looking for Senior Consultants or Medical Officers to join the team for long or short term positions (6 months or more). You will be expected to work a 24 hour shift pattern of 9 hour shifts, with overlapping physicians and flexible scheduling. The Medical Officer should have at least 4 years post-graduate experience including 3 years full-time emergency experience. The successful applicants will preferably have achieved EMST/ATLS, ACLS or APLS.

Emergency Specialist of Oregon (ESO), a physician owned EM group at Providence Newberg Hospital (PNH) is currently seeking a full time Emergency Advanced Practice Provider to join our group. Candidates must have a minimum of one year prior ED experience and be able to work autonomously in a main ED setting.
