The Hospital ... Banner Churchill Community Hospital, a 40-bed acute care facility, offers the most comprehensive array of medical services in rural northern Nevada with four ICU rooms; Level I Nursery; extensive imaging capabilities. The hopital offers Orthopedic Surgery, OBGYN, Family Practice, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, as well as, visiting specialists in Cardiology, Dermatology, Urology, Otolaryngology and Podiatry. The hospital employs just over 400 professionals and support staff. Churchill Commuity Hospital provides comprehensive and emergency care, including an ambulance service that covers more than 5,900 square miles, making it one of only two hospital-operated paramedic/EMT/EMS providers in northern Nevada.


	The Location - All of this and no State Income Tax ... Fallon with a 2006 population of 8,299 is the county seat of Churchill County located in the Lahontan Valley (See the Map). With a population of 27,000, Churchill County encompasses approximately 4,900 sq. miles of fertile agricultural lands, desert, mountains and valleys. Churchill County is the home of a number of lakes, expansive wetlands and wildlife refuge areas, as well as, the U. S. Naval Air Station Fallon where the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center and TOPGUN host Naval and joint combat training. Growth and prosperity in northern Nevada are bringing change to Churchill County. 	The Lahontan State Recreation Area, 18 miles west of Fallon, includes Lahontan Reservoir, with 69 miles of shoreline. Fishing, swimming, boating and water-skiing are popular here. Camping is allowed at undesignated areas and there are facilities for picnicking and day use. Other recreational attractions in the immediate area are Walker Lake, Fort Churchill, Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park and Rye Patch State Recreation Area.
One hour drive southwest is Nevada's State Capital, Carson City. With a population of 57,000 the city offers the amenities and services you would expect to find in a State Capital and in a city of its size. However, it still maintains its old west character having been founded in the boom days of mining. One hour drive west is Reno, Nevada, known as "The Biggest Little City in the World". It has a population of 214,000 and is famous for its casinos. The city is also a part of the Lake Tahoe recreational area, known for its out-door attractins including several ski resorts - Alpine Meadows, Heavenly, Kirkwood, Mt Rose-Ski Tahoe, Northstar at Tahoe, Sierra at Tahoe and Squaw Valley, as well as Lake Tahoe's famous Rim Trail. In addition, there are 17 renowned golf courses in the Reno, Lake Tahoe, Carson and Graeagle regions.
