We are seeking BE/BC Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our Mayo-owned regional medical center. The ISJ/Mayo Health System is comprised of 13 clinics and four hospitals in a 12 county area of southern Minnesota. We are seeking enthusiastic Physicians to join this team
The opportunity
30,000 visits to the ED per year
10 hour shifts, double and triple coverage
Consults do the admissions, hospitalists and intensivists on staff
U/S in the ED, angioplasty 24/7, radiology 24/7, Pac's
Multispecialty Clinic & intergrated hospital owned by Mayo Clinic
Helicopter based in Mankato 24/7, certified level III trauma services
The Benefits
$161.43 hourly pay for first 120 hours then premium rate for hours after; Employed position
4-6 weeks vacation, 1-2 weeks CME
CME stipend ($6,000) plus free tuition to Mayo sponsored CME
Additional $1,500 for dues, fees and memberships

ISJ-MHS consists of the Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital licensed for 272-beds; the ISJ Clinics which includes a regional multi-specialty facility and several primary care clinics/community hospitals throughout the region serving a population of 300,000+.
There are 120 (and growing) practicing physicians and mid-levels employed by the organization in Mankato and community medical centers throughout the region. ISJ-MHS is the site of the Rural Family Practice Residency for the University of Minnesota.
Over the past several years the Board of Directors has invested tens of millions of dollars in expanding services and facilities. This effort included new facilities for Emergency medicine with heliport on the roof of the facility. The current five-year plan calls for additional significant expenditures to fund further facilities and services expansion. These investments are an indication of our continuous effort to enhance the quality of healthcare offered to the region.
Mankato is a major regional center designated as the 14th Most Livable Micropolitan City in the Nation and named one of the Nation's 100 best Communities for Young People (2nd consecutive year). Mankato has a population of 34,427 with a contiguous population area of 46,173. It is a regional retail and business hub serving a population of more than 300,000 and there are 1.6 million people who live within 60 miles of Mankato (See the Map).
The city blends activities for all ages and interest levels. Mankato’s Civic Center has hosted nationally touring ice shows, music concerts and theatre productions as well as supporting local events. Recreational opportunities abound in the Mankato area for most sports or interests for every season of the year.
