  • Newly renovated 11-bed ED
  • Annual volume is 10,000
  • Staff of 4 full-time EM physicians
  • 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 to 7:00
  • EM-trained and/or EM Board Certified or Primary Care
  • ACLS, ATLS and PALS certification is required
  • Employee status

    Saint Luke’s Cushing Hospital is a 74-bed full-service hospital giving patients in surrounding communities local access to Saint Luke’s world-class stroke and heart care. The hospital offers the full spectrum of services to be expected in a community hospital setting. Visitors to Cushing’s Emergency Department have access to stroke and heart protocols developed by the world renowned Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute and Saint Luke’s Neuroscience Institute earning a reputation for innovative, lifesaving care. The hospital was recently named one of only 46 Emergent Stroke Ready hospitals in the state, a designation that recognizes Cushing's ability to care for stroke patients. Cushing was one of the first hospitals in northeast Kansas opening in 1894.

The stadium recently underwent a $250 million renovation. Arrowhead Stadium has been the Kansas City Chiefs' home field since 1972 and the fourth largest stadium in the NFL. The stadium is currently undergoing a $325 million renovation.
  • Other sporting venues: The Kansas Speedway, which is used by the NASCAR Sprint Cup series.
    Sporting Kansas City is an Major League Soccer club with plans to build a new stadium there near the Kansas Speedway. The Wizards have won several major titles.
