BayFront Medical Center has 502 beds, and its 2,500 team members and 600 physicians offer care in all medical specialties. The Bayfront Health System is comprised of the following:
• BayFront Medical Center • Six Convenient Care Clinics offering minor emergency care • A family health center offering primary and obstetrical care • Two outpatient rehabilitation facilities • Family practice and OB/GYN residency programs • Sports medicine fellowship • Wound care and hyperbaric center.

We also have openings in the Emergency Department at St. Anthony's Hospital, part of the BayCare Health System in St. Petersburg. St. Anthony's is a 395 bed insititution with 478 physicians and 1,460 emplyees. The ED annual census is currently 34,000. The Hospital was recently awarded the Joint Commission's Primary Stroke Center Certification, the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence and earned the Total Benchmark Solution Top 100 Quality Award in 2005

With a population of 249,000, St. Petersburg is the fourth largest city in the state of Florida. It is the second largest city in the Tampa Bay Area, which is composed of roughly 4 million residents in the core, making it the second largest Metropolitan Statistical Area in the State. (See the Map).
St. Petersburg's stunning city-wide renaissance has caught the attention of America. The downtown, located on one of our nation's most beautiful waterfront parks, is fast-becoming one of the most attractive, livable and viable downtowns in the country.
The city is a popular tourist and retirement destination, especially for those from colder Northern climates. However, in recent years the population has shifted in a more youthful direction.
Downtown is the location of the BayWalk shopping complex which contains an IMAX 20 screen movie
theater, as well as many chain restaurants and retail shops. Every Saturday morning, from October to May, the downtown area holds a farmers' market. Local produce farmers can be found selling their fruits up and down the downtown region, as well as live bands, barbecue vendors, and artists of all kinds. Ethnic and domestic culinary specialties can be found throughout the downtown area. Baywalk is also a nightlife destination. |

St. Petersburg's Tropicana Field is the permanent home of the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team.

Tampa is known to have a lively and diverse culture. Tampa is also home to Busch Gardens Africa, a 335 acre African-themed park, Adventure Island, a 30 acre water park and the Florida Aquarium. The city is represented by teams in the NFL, the NHL, and Arena Football League.
