4-bed Fast Track
49,000+ annual patient volume
Moderate acuity
T-System Documentation
Physicians: - 36 hours per day
Mid Level Providers - ED: 20 hours per day
Mid Level Providers - Fast Track: 12 hours per day
BC/BE Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM)
OR Primary Care BC in FP or IM with 2 years of current ED experience
Must have current ATLS, ACLS and PALS
Independent Contractor status
"A" Rated Malpractice with no-tail obligation upon departure
Sierra View District Hospital is a full service 163-bed acute care facility and a leader in healthcare in the Southern Sequoia region of California's San Joaquin Valley. It is the only hospital in Porterville and largest in Tulare county providing 60 years of quality healthcare and serving the needs of a hospital district comprised of 120,000.
In 1993 an ambitious expansion project broke ground resulting in the current hospital campus. With its verdant exterior and modern triangular design, it is an architectural landmark in this growing city of 40,000 people.
Recent enhancements include the addition of a new state of the art MRI and CT scan – putting Sierra View on par with UCLA and UCSF; an expanded full service Cancer Care facility and a new 7-bed pediatric wing in collaboration with Children’s Hospital of Central California. Sierra View is a major surgical facility with vascular and thoracic surgery.
There are 85 active medical staff and over 800 full and part time employees serving the community's needs in a variety of medical specialties and services
Future services will include a Dialysis Center, Cardiac Catherization Laboratory, and a newly expanded and remodeled Emergency Department.
Porterville is a city located in Tulare County, California (See the Map). As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 39,615. Locally known as the "Orange Belt of California," it is one of the few cities left in the San Joaquin Valley with a country town charm. Porterville and the surrounding cities (Exeter, Visalia, Fresno, and Bakersfield) have very affordable housing, safe neighborhoods and good schools.
Centrally located within the State of California, Tulare County is situated in a delightful and geographically-diverse region. Mountain peaks of the Sierra Nevada range rise to more than 14,000 feet in its Eastern half.
